A Message from the President of the Historical Radio Society of Australia (South Australian Group)

Welcome to the website of the South Australian division of the Historical Radio Society of Australia (HRSA.) We are a fully affiliated group within the national organisation, with the parent society formed in the Australian State of Victoria in 1982. Our South Australian group had its origins in the late 1980s and has steadily grown ever since. Click here to go to the new National Website.

First South Australian "Life Members" of the HRSA

As many of you will be aware, it was announced at the recent 2019 AGM that our two stalwarts, Elizabeth and John Cox have both been awarded Life Membership of the HRSA for their outstanding service, dedication and leadership to the club in SA since it was founded.

Recently, Chris Ratcliff called in to have a chat with Elizabeth and John, to find out a bit about them, and to take a few photos of their collection…… Click here to take a look!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
The HRSASA Management Committee would like to advise all Members and Friends that the March and April Meetings of the group have been cancelled due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus.)
Please come back to this website regularly as we will update you all as to the re-commencement of our activities in 2020.

While we are in recess…why not have a go at a building project?
We want you to build a ONE VALVE, or ONE TRANSISTOR radio, originally for our meeting on Sunday 31st May 2020 but now for some time later in the year when we resume our meetings.
Just to get you started thinking, here is a document that contains designs & plans for 8 different one-valve receivers that you can download and print off.
